MENTAL HEALTH DURING COVID-19

Corona-virus has affected all aspects of our lives and the constant news about the pandemic can feel never-ending & now it has started to take a toll on our mental health.

Corona-virus has affected all aspects of our lives and the constant news about the pandemic can feel never-ending. Not only is it impacting our physical health but it is taking its toll on some people's mental health too.

Do you feel stressed out in lock-down? Does the constant flow of news about the pandemic make you feel stressed out?

Staying at home, social distancing and self-isolating are crucial in stopping the spread of COVID-19, but they can affect us psychologically. In addition, it can be hard to escape the constant barrage of bad news in the media too, which can add to feelings of stress and despair. During such circumstances of uncertainty, each of us must take care about the mental health. We should follow proper daily- routine. Workout, exercise, proper timely meal, proper sleeping time, etc can help us to be fit both mentally and physically.

Steps to Deal with Stress

1. To get the facts & not rumors and misinformation. Facts can help to minimize fears.

2. We should be empathetic to all those who are affected, in & from any place. People who are affected by Corona-virus have not done anything wrong, and they deserve our support, compassion and kindness.

3. Working together as one community can help create solidarity in addressing the issue.

4. Learn to manage your time & find new hobbies to keep yourself occupied.

5. If you have an underlying medical condition, make sure to have access to any medications you might need & speak up about your problems.

Let us all overcome this crisis together fulfill our duties by following the rules and regulations during this lock-down with a positive attitude.
